Giannetti Golf Tournament Benefits S.P.A.C.E. and Healing Hearts

 

Based in Detroit, Michigan, Giannetti Contracting Corporation is a family-owned construction company specializing in underground utilities. To help the community, Giannetti Contracting hosts an annual charity golf tournament for the benefit of a local nonprofit group. In 2014 and 2015, the tournament’s beneficiaries were S.P.A.C.E. Scholars and Healing Hearts Outreach, respectively.

What is Healing Hearts Outreach?

With several offices across Michigan, Healing Hearts Outreach provides emotional support and counseling, guidance, healing, and education to underserved individuals who lack the resources to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Volunteers with Healing Hearts are available to provide assistance 24 hours a day.

Is Healing Hearts involved with S.P.A.C.E.?

The Saint Philemon Academic Center for Excellence (S.P.A.C.E.) is a school located in Ogoli-Ipangbo, Nigeria. The school, subsidized by donations from Healing Hearts Outreach and other charitable groups, provides education to underprivileged children in Nigeria. Proceeds from the 2014 Giannetti Contracting Golf Tournament were used to help build a new roof for the S.P.A.C.E. schoolhouse.

What other projects is Healing Hearts Outreach pursuing?

In addition to the S.P.A.C.E. school, Healing Hearts Outreach has several ongoing projects in Nigeria. It is involved in initiatives geared toward providing new wells and water systems, the distribution of educational materials, and implementing a solar panel program.
